SJC Expenses and Balance Sheet

Thank you all for your excellent support throughout the programme. Thanks to all those who attended, contributed but could not attend and for the moral support.

We are publishing the accounts of the event. As you are aware, the collection was mainly intended for the silver jubilee celebrations and the remaining fund will be used for charitable purposes.

We got voluntary contribution of INR 478655, collection of INR 67010 on the event days through registration, INR 108500 as sponsorship for magazine and INR 30000 as sponsorship for scholarship. All together INR 684165.

Our total expenditure is INR 534421 which leaves a balance of INR 149744 for future activities of the association.

JNVI Alumni Creates History

The first Navodaya school in South India - the one and only 'JNVI' has set high standards for Silver Jubilee Celebrations for all other JNVs to follow.... Thanks to the great Alumni, its leaders, the Principal & other staff, current students & parents.

The feverish pitch witnessed in the auditorium during 'Yeh dosthi...' was unimaginable....

It wont be long, before we come ack with Another Mega hit 'JNVI Festival'....!

Fun Games and Sports - Detailed Plan (Dinil, Siby)

Dear All,

           Here is the updates on sports activities planned…Suggestions still invited….

Time schedule

1: 30 pm:- reporting at sports ground.

1:45 pm:- Football match

2:00 pm:-1) Basketball match

              2) Volleyball match (men & Women)

3:00 pm:-Shot put (Men & Women)

4:00 pm:- Tug of war(Men & women)

General Instructions

1)     Each player should bring their own shorts, T-shirts, Boots, canvas shoes etc etc

2)    No substitution limit for alumini team except in tug of war

3)    Players should report at ground before scheduled time otherwise they won’t be allowed to join the team

4)    Official judgment will be final

Football

1)     Only one match ie Alumini X1 vs Shool team

2)    Game consists of 2 halves of 15 mints with a 10 mints gap in between them

3)    If game ends in a draw, we will go for an extra time for 10 mints. If still it’s a draw we will go for a penalty consists of 5 spotkicks

Basketball

1)     Total 3 teams 1) Ganga      (Alumini 1^st team), : players from 93, 95, 97, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 batches

                      2) Godavari (Alumini 2^nd team), : players from 94, 96, 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 batches

                      3) School team

2)    5 players per side

3)    Game consists of 2 halves of 15 mints with a 10 mints gap in between them

4)    Match schedule will be announced later

Volleyball (Men)

1)   Only one match ie Alumini team vs School team

2)   Winner is decided on best of 3 sets (first 2 sets on 15 and final set is on 10)

Volleyball (Women)

1)   Only one match ie Alumini team vs School team

2)   Winner is decided on best of 3 sets (first 2 sets on 15 and final set is on 10)

Tug of War (Men)

1)     Each team consists of 8 members

2)    No substitution allowed without a serious reason

3)    Winner is decided on best of 3 sets

4)    Game scheduled on knock-out base with 2 semi finals & final. No loosers final

5)    Total 4 teams

1)     Yamuna (Alumini 1^st team):-  93, 98, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008 batches & old teachers

2)    Krishna (Alumini 2^nd team):-  94, 97, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009 batches & old teachers

3)    Pampa (Alumini 3^rd team):- 95, 96, 99, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011 batches & old teachers

4)    School team & present teachers

Tug of War (Women)

1)   Only one match ie Alumini team vs School team

2)    Each team consists of 8 members

3)    No substitution allowed without a serious reason

4)    Winner is decided on best of 3 sets

Shotput(Men & Womwn)

1)     Max 3 throws for the participants whose first throw crosses a benchmark length, which will be decided by the officials

Batch 2 is the Final Winner in Fund Collection !

Update on Feb 1st 9 AM  Though Batch 2 started the campaign slow, they were the final winners...with an incredible 89000 Rs under their belt... Hats off to you Batch 2.... !

Update on Jan 22nd 11:00 AM  Batch 1 is now leading the scoreboard. The total collections of batches in second and third spot (Batch 4 and 7) does not equal that of topper... Others... what are you waiting for.... Lets overtake Batch 1....

Batch 2, 8, 9, 13, 17, 18, 19 - yet to open the scorecard... Hope its just a calm before the storm...I am sure these batches will overtake everyone else and take the collections through roof !

Within 24 hours updating the score card, Batch 1 and Batch 4 have overtaken Batch 7... way to go !
Batch 4 is now leading.....

Batch 7 is leading the donations chart, going past the Batch 1.
Batch 1, 4 and 7 is leading others by a mile !

Batch 2 is yet to open their scorecard....

Batch 8, 9, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19 - Yet to open score card !

Silver Jubilee Souvenir (Magazine)

Dear All,

We all know that our Jubilee Celebrations will be incomplete without a magazine/souvenir. We are making a sincere attempt to publish a souvenir on this occasion.

In the alumni session of your magazine, we would like to include

1. "Ormakurippukal" from alumni.
2. Any article related to any specific field which will be informative for the students in their career
3. Let the world know that you have done it. Any well recognized awards that any alumni won.

4. Any achievement that any Alumni wants to highlight (it can also be written by others).
5. Any motivational/inspirational stories about alumni

Alumni Magazine (Souvenir) Announcements

Dear Friends,

Please send nostalgic photos from your school days to be printed in the magazine. Send it to the magazine team.

Please collect as many advertisements as possible. As an added incentive to the young, energetic salesmen from our group, there will be 10% commission for the ads collected. What are you waiting for... Hurry Up.

There will be prizes for the highest number of advertisement collector and highest amount collector.

Batch 1 is leading the Contributions Chart

Thanks to Dr. Jaimon and Nevin (highest contributors), Batch 1 is now leading the Fund Contribution charts. Other batches, please get your act together and show your mettle. Some batches are yet to open the score board ! Please move fast.... Lets make this the biggest celebrations in the history of not only JNVI, but any Navodayas for that matter
